Fusione nasce dall’incontro tra due culture e due abitudini di tavola: quella occidentale, che distingue il piatto piano dal piatto fondo, e quella orientale, che concentra tutto in un unico contenitore.
Nella società contemporanea, in cui il pasto è sempre più informale e dinamico, la separazione tra “primo” e “secondo” tende a dissolversi. Fusione interpreta questo cambiamento con un gesto semplice ma significativo: unire due piatti in uno solo.A livello formale, l’oggetto conserva la percezione visiva della mise en place tradizionale — come se due piatti fossero sovrapposti — ma in realtà si tratta di un unico corpo ceramico, sintesi perfetta tra piano e fondo.

Fusione non è solo un esercizio estetico: è una riflessione sul modo in cui la cultura del cibo evolve e su come il design possa tradurre nuove abitudini in forme essenziali, simboliche e quotidiane..

Fusione was born from the meeting of two cultures and two dining traditions: the Western habit of separating flat and deep plates, and the Eastern custom of using a single dish for the whole meal.
In today’s society, where meals are increasingly informal and fluid, the distinction between “first” and “second” courses is fading. Fusione interprets this change through a simple yet meaningful gesture: the union of two plates into one.Formally, the object preserves the visual perception of a traditional table setting — as if two plates were stacked — but it is in fact a single ceramic body, a perfect synthesis of the flat and deep plate.

Fusione is not only an aesthetic exercise, but a reflection on how food culture evolves, and how design can translate new habits into essential, symbolic, and everyday forms.
