Appendiabiti

L’appendiabiti è un’opera di design che fonde l’arte sacra con l’arredamento contemporaneo, traendo ispirazione dalla figura di San Sebastiano, diventato martire per avere sostenuto la fede cristiana. Un un simbolo di resistenza e sacrificio, dove la ceramica e il legno si uniscono in un dialogo tra materia e spirito.Le frecce che trafissero San Sebastiano sono state reinterpretate e ridisegnate, trasformandosi in ganci che sporgono dall’appendiabiti come segni tangibili di un passato di sofferenza. Ogni freccia, realizzata in ceramica lucida, sembra emergere dal legno massiccio, quasi come se fosse stata incatenata a esso. Il contrasto tra la ceramica fredda e levigata e il calore naturale del legno rappresenta la dualità tra dolore e fede, tra fragilità umana e forza spirituale.

The coat rack is a design work that blends sacred art with contemporary furniture, drawing inspiration from the figure of Saint Sebastian, who became a martyr for supporting the Christian faith. A symbol of resistance and sacrifice, where ceramic and wood come together in a dialogue between matter and spirit.

The arrows that pierced Saint Sebastian have been reinterpreted and redesigned, transforming into hooks that protrude from the coat rack as tangible signs of a past of suffering. Each arrow, made of shiny ceramic, seems to emerge from the solid wood, almost as if it had been chained to it. The contrast between the cold and smooth ceramic and the natural warmth of the wood represents the duality between pain and faith, between human fragility and spiritual strength.
